The Rich People are who are riding the rail!
Who cares if we can afford it! We want it!
Years ago I asked Ron Tober to get the demographics on just who would be and then later who was riding light rail.
He said the did not do that type of research.
Now the Observer puts out an analysis from CATs that shows the light rail rider has other options.
Meaning the ride the rail but will never ride the bus. So our costs of about 36 dollars each way to carry these rich people is working. They are leaving their cars at the free parking decks and taking the light rail. Keep in mind they are also doing this to go to the games and plays. Hey but that is what this is all about. Rich people getting out of their cars and into those over priced light rail rides. We could carry this for about four bucks each way but that would be on a bus and we already know they have other options.
So finally the truth is out and we now know why these outrageous millions were spent. Rich People we love you soooooo much, please feel free to enjoy our trains that make you feel better than riding those nasty buses that we have had to cut back on their schedules in the areas of town which needs them so we could afford to keep up your rides on the light rail.
